Countdown to the Cannes – First Boat Show of the Season
Starting September 6, 2016
Elegant surroundings, luxury and the sparkling waters of the French Riviera are hallmarks of the yearly Cannes Yachting Festival — “the premiere venue for selling boats and yachts” — according to the exhibitors.
For six days a year, the festival turns Cannes into the epicenter for boating and yachting enthusiasts, brokers and wannabes. With approximately 600 boats on display, Cannes is the largest on-water display of boats in Europe.
From standard production boats to custom vessels, a vast array of modest dinghies, sailboats, multihulls and the biggest, most luxurious yachts awaits those attending. More than half of the exhibitors are from abroad. There will be nearly 90 world premieres, 134 yachts longer than 20 meters and over 100 sailboats on display.
This year marks the tenth anniversary of the Brokerage & Charter Area at the Cannes Yachting Festival on the Port Pierre Canto docks at the other end of the famous Croisette. It can be reached by a short boat ride from the old port.
The Cannes Yachting Festival will take place Sept 6-11, 2016.
